NewEGGlandfest: A Great Barbecue Weekend Road Trip

There is no better way to start enjoying your leisurely summer weekends than taking a trip to Brentwood, New Hampshire on June 25 & 26 for NewEGGlandfest III. This family-oriented outdoor event will showcase the best food you’ve ever tasted and the friendliest outdoor chefs you’ve ever met. The chefs will come from most of the New England states and from as far away as Maryland, New Jersey and Ontario, Canada, but they have one thing in common. All of them are enthusiastic Big Green Egg® owners.

What, you may ask, is a Big Green Egg? It is the most unique outdoor cooking appliance you will find anywhere, with unmatched cooking flexibility -- it smokes, grills and bakes equally well. It is made from space-age ceramics, making it very durable, and it literally looks like a large green egg. NewEGGlandfest will give you an opportunity to find out first hand how delicious food is when it is cooked in the EGG®, for all the accomplished chefs-for-the-day will be sharing samples of the foods they are cooking with the guests who come to enjoy the outing.

The entire family will enjoy a fun EGGsperience mingling with the EGGsperts and you’ll be able to ask them the secrets of their blue ribbon-style of barbecuing, whether it is low-and-slow brisket, fallin’- off-the-bone ribs, crispy-crust pizza or an exotic dessert.

These EGGs are new except for the one time use at the event. A large selection of EGGs and EGGcessories will also be available for sale during the event.

The EGG is a kamado cooker, which has been used in China and Japan for over 3,000 years. All cooking is done with the lid closed and, because it forms a tight seal, food cooked in it is exceptionally moist and flavorful. NewEGGlandfest is one of twenty local EGGfests that have been created as a result of the increasingly successful EGGtoberfest, the original EGGhead get-together. Held in Atlanta, EGGtoberfest is celebrating its Eleventh Anniversary this year.
